Par défaut What to do?

I have been using Access both in VB 6 and in ASP web pages.

I have a need to move ASP to ASP.Net using MS SQL.

The first thing I would say is that the project dictates moving from ASP to
ASP.net and from Access to MS SQL because of the volume of users that will
be using the database online via the website. The project is for a school
system so many teachers and students will be hitting the database throughout
the day.

I dont know the numbers right now but I have to assume steady hits to the
database. And the database will probably be close to the 2 GB size. (Which
the database is now)

The web hosting server has MS SQL 2000 on the server side.

I have MS SQL 2000 server but I have not installed it locally.

My question is:

1. Since MS SQL 2000 is on the web server do I need to install MS SQL 2000
on the local server?
2. If so what tools do I need to install on my workstation?
3. What is the best migration tool from Access 2003 to MS SQL 2000?
4. I really would like to load MS SQL 2000 locally because I eventually will
migrate from VB 6 to VB.Net, but more importantly, the Access database we
now use inhouse for VB6 is close to the 2GB limit and our concurrent users
are now up to 15. We are seeing a slow down and some crashes because of
this. So again a need to know the best and smart way to install MS SQL 2000
and any tools locally, taking in to account we have a server running Windows
2000 and my workstation is Windows XP Pro.

Thanks in advance,
