That indicates that some previous installation program left a value in the
registry. Use regedit to look at this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager
\PendingFileRenameOperations

Clear out any value in the key and then try again.
