Sorry, that took so long. :-( Had been busy.

* Yes I run '/etc/init.d/fetchmail restart' as root and fetchmail daemon
has been set to run by SysV-init scripts.
* My /etc/fetchmailrc is empty
* /home/[USER_ACCOUNT]/.fetchmailrc has:
set postmaster [USER_ACCOUNT]
set bouncemail
set daemon 300

plus all e-mail account information.
