I cannot answer your question regarding paying for connnection support.
I'd suggest the easy things first. Zap your Photoshop preferences. (While
Photoshop is starting, hold down Alt-Ctrl-Shift and answer Yes to the
dialog) If you get Bridge working again, waste the cache and set the
preferences to ignore particularly large files. Finally, how much RAM do you
have? And is it all ok?
