I didn't realize you had the editable png file on the page. I downloaded
it and made some adjustements to it by setting the stroke fro the outer
ellipse to soft rounded, with an edge of 100.

I removed the stroke from the inner ellipse. Things look much smoother
now. You can grab my version at
