Par défaut Re: Dreamweaver 8/FrontPage Issue

That may explain then why, after I created an entirely new page for the home
page using DW 8, that his changes did not create havoc. I did copy and
paste from the old home page after creating tables, etc. Maybe I need to do
the same with the faculty/staff page?

We are running an Apache server on NetWare 6.5, so should the extensions
still be an issue?

Thanks for your although I'm not sure why you're not able to access the
site.

Using anything but FrontPage on a site originally created in FrontPage is a

dangerous thing to do, and you may have just discovered that, unfortunately.

This is true by virtue of the way the FrontPage (server) extensions play
into the picture, requiring that files be uploaded NOT using FTP protocols,

but by using FrontPage's HTTP protocols. Unfortunately this means that once

the original committment to FrontPage has been made, one is locked into
continued use of that (now obsolete) authoring system until and unless the
entire site is rebuilt.

I am unable to retrieve any webpage at your link or even at
http://jordan.ccs135.com, ( http://jordan.ccs135.com,/ ) so I cannot comment
further about what might have
happened or ways to prevent it.
