A better ng for VPC is microsoft.public.virtualpc.
A virtual machine uses 2d graphics with 8mb of video ram. It also uses a
emulated optical drive that is read only. You cannot use the host machine's
hardware to get around these limitations. A vm is highly unsuitable for
EMC.
Yes you would need a separate license for the vm.
It would be far cheaper for you to upgrade EMC.
